Membership
We welcome new members and, for anyone new to the hobby, our members are happy to mentor and help with things like choice of gear and building planes, plus instructors to help you learn to fly on our fleet of club training planes.
You are welcome to visit the flying field on Saturdays or Sundays (if the weather is flyable) and talk with us about the club.

In order to fly at our Field you MUST be a member of MFNZ.
If you are not already a MFNZ Member then we collect your fees as below and process your MFNZ membership.
MFNZ Membership Fees 2025 (1Apr 2025 - 31 Mar 2026) are:
After 1st October all NSMAC and MFNZ fees for New Members are reduced by 50% for remainder of the year.
New members joining between January and March and paying the full fees can be affiliated for the forthcoming financial year.

- Seniors $125.00
- Juniors, (under 18) $35.00
- Family $140.00
In order to fly at our Field you MUST be a member of MFNZ.
If you are not already a MFNZ Member then we collect your fees as below and process your MFNZ membership.
MFNZ Membership Fees 2025 (1Apr 2025 - 31 Mar 2026) are:
- Senior $105.00
- Junior (under 18) Free
- Family $110.00
- So, unless you have paid your MFNZ Affiliation Fee via another Primary Club (proof required) total fees payable are
- Senior $230
- Junior $35
- Family $250
- MFNZ Membership includes public liability insurance for you while flying anywhere (legally) in New Zealand or Australia and a quarterly magazine called Model Flying World. For more information about MFNZ visit their website at www.modelflyingnz.org
